I love my ice maker, the ice isn't as soft as sonics or the hospital, but that keeps it around longer. The water reservoir fits two water bottles perfectly and the ice lasts us all day with multiple drinks. If you have a larger house hold -or are planning a party- you may need to bag some ice to have in reserve as it takes 30min to half fill the basket.

It does produce some noise, but it's not so loud that it's distracting (not blender loud). It's akin to a sound machine level of noise. It also turns off when the basket is full or it's out of water and automatically turns back on when it's got water or ice storage space again.

I got the stainless steel one and I have the top handle off because I think it looks prettier that way, but it does fold down to stay out of the way.

I would highly reccomend this model. Even my 5 year old loves it and makes his own drinks so he can have ice.

Received June 7th. So far use 1-2 times as week. I like to run for a couple of hours to make enough nuggets to place in a gallon zip lock bag and store in the freezer, along with eating the ice freshly made. Operates as I expected. Noise level is not bad, what you would expect for a rerigeration unit running. Dispenser is great and so far no problems with excess melting or ice dams. Tastes great, as I use bottled or filtered water rather than hard tap water. Might seem a little slow for someone wanting a large quantity for a party, but great for household use. The ice basket compartment is not refrigerated but well insulated so neglibile melting while I wait for it to fill up. Like how any left over ice melts and returns to the resevoir. Overall, great for my drinks, iced coffee, and best of all chewing. Will update later with pictures and if my rating changes.

Have to figure out how to return it as it has already stopped working after only a week and a 1/2

Love it!! Exactly as described and well worth the money! The customer service with Beverly was even more impressive! When running the self-cleaning cycle, I misplaced the drain plug. I left a voicemail when calling before their office hours, then received a return call within the hour. My replacement drain plug is on its way! Thanks!

The ice maker came safely and was easy to start up and use! It's a little smaller than my other one, but it keeps up with my demand for ice! Great price and works wonderfully!

Efficient ice maker with 1 design flaw. Ice drops from the center shoot and quickly piles up and clogs the shoot causing the machine to shut off. In fairness, the company has a sticker stating to spread the ice every 40 minutes. The machine will clog in 40 or less.
Very important...allow enough room for air flow. This machine cranks out a fair amount of heat.
The machine is very easy to operate. The ice cranks out really fast. The cubes are small and symmetrical. The ice container is a generous size.
