I ordered this portable, countertop ice maker for extra ice when we have company over for cocktails and whatnot and our refrigerator/freezer ice maker can't keep up with demand. I was really impressed that, about 5-6 minutes after we turned it on and added water, it was already dropping ice cubes! We've had portable ice makers in the past and I don't remember any of them producing ice that quickly.

You can choose from large or small cubes, and the ice maker comes with a scoop, and also a handle you can attach to the top of it. I'm not sure how much I would trust the plastic handle to carry around the ice maker, which is slightly heavy, but it seems like a nice touch. When it's running, it's pretty quiet, but you will hear it until you get used to the new sound. For us, it took about two hours, then we'd get startled each time it dropped ice! Lol Oh, and it also has a self-cleaning feature, which our previous models didn't have, and I'm curious to see how that works once it needs cleaning.

All in all, a nice little ice maker at a good price!

This has proven to be a great purchase! There’s always ice available for a household of four that all enjoy ice cold drinks. Highly recommend

I have purchased 2 of these from the same vendor. The teeth on the gears are flimsy and cause a loud popping noise when it runs. As the device runs more the teeth get brittle and break off rendering the device useless. I have 2 worthless broken ice makers now. One purchased in May 2023 and the other in September 2023. It is now February 2024. That is how long they last.

Makes quick ice, but they start to melt fast, so we have to move them to the freezer right away. Even after we put them ice into the freezer, the ice pieces freeze into one big bunch. We have to use an ice pick to get them apart.

I bought this ice maker a year and a half ago and it’s already toast . It just stopped working. We have done weekly cleaning on it from day one so I wouldn’t think that’s its nonworking has anything to do with maintenance. I only put purified water in it that I purchased. I would not recommend this product.
