Packaged well, arrived in good shape. Approximately 4&3/4 C / 1150 ml to fill water tank, which is located under the ice bin.
Watch gave it about 69 db while running, fan side. Louder than an older model dishwasher, I’d say. You’ll hear the ice pop into the tray. Pyrometer gave it about 82 F at the fan, doesn’t put out much heat.
Ice bin full light was at 1 hour, 37 minutes. Was roughly 5C / 1250ml of ice.
Ice is a good size for drinks, centimeter square chunks.
Handy unit to have if your installed ice maker is oos, or you are tired of filling trays.
Update: the family loves this thing. I was sure I’d get fussed at due to our limited counter space having an ice maker camping there, but I was wrong.
It’s been running for 5 days, auto shuts off when the ice is high, or if the water is low. I’m giving it an extra star. Ice basket holds enough ice for 2 full glasses. The manual also had a wiring diagram.
Update 2: 28 ish days later (running 24/7),it’s developed a ‘pop’, like a nylon gear skipping. Not a big deal, just noticeable. All other functionality is fine.

This machine is everything I wanted in a compact countertop ice machine. After adding water, it takes about 9 minutes for the first ice to fall. It is not excessively noisy, and the ice is nugget style – which is my all time favorite. I make up ice before parties and place in the freezer- which helps so much when I have a large crowd!

So this is neat especially when you don’t have a full fridge and freezer. I didn’t check how long it takes to create ice, but it does work. It’s not that noisy and it’s pretty light weight so easy to move around or travel with.

This is a portable, countertop nugget ice maker. I ordered this to make nugget ice at home, and possibly for use in our RV while camping. (It has a 3 pronged plug-in, so keep that in mind when you make plans to use it.) It comes with a bag for ice, an ice scoop, and a great set of directions. Set-up was pretty easy. It will need to be cleaned with soapy water before first use, and then filled with filtered water. The instructions say to let it sit upright for at least 2 hours, and then run some clean cycles, which take about 15 minutes each. I ran 3 clean cycles and then it was ready to make ice! Over the course of about 6 hours, I was able to completely fill the plastic ice bag that came with the unit. The ice maker requires a water refill for each batch of ice, so you can’t just set it up and leave for the day. It does not keep the ice frozen, it just makes it and dumps it into the removable basket. If you leave the ice in the basket, it will eventually melt and that water is then recycled back to make more ice. The basket doesn’t hold a lot of ice – maybe 5 cups? Each batch should be removed from the ice maker receptacle and put into a freezer. (I wish I had timed it, but it seems like it took around 35-40 minutes to make a batch? It was fairly quick!) The ice is very wet and sticks together upon freezing, so you’ll have to bang the bag of ice on your counter to break it up after it refreezes, but it breaks up nicely. I let the ice basket set and drip for a minute to let some of the water run off before placing the ice in the freezer. The machine is not quiet, in my opinion. To me it sounds like an exhaust fan running, and I caught myself getting up to turn off the bathroom exhaust fan a few times only to realize it was the ice machine. This is normal for an ice machine, to my knowledge. I like the ice it makes, but it only makes a small amount at a time, because it’s a small machine, so I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth it and I have not fully decided yet! I think because of the noise and the constant need to add water (if you want to make a large amount), this is likely something we will only use when we have a party or company visiting, and not for everyday use. Still, it is awesome to be able to make nugget ice at home or on the go! Large ice makers that produce nugget ice are very expensive, so I feel this unit is a good value in its current price range.
