I purchased this for my husband for Father’s Day. After doing s one research this model was one that stood out. We have been pleased with how well it has worked out! First of all, it was easy to use straight out of the box. It takes up VERY little room. It keeps the ice going well once it gets started. One thing to keep in mind, it does take a hot minute to get the ice to a point of enough for a cup. But once it gets going it keeps going!

This makes awesome ice! The only drawbacks are it doesn’t keep the ice cold so it starts melting as soon as it drops in the bin. It’s also pretty loud. I usually make several batches of ice while working in the kitchen and store the ice in the freezer. Then unplug it so it can cool down. The housing gets a bit warm. But I luuuurve nugget ice! It’s worth the work.

It works like a charm, the ice is small chewey ice nuggets. This machine does make some noise, but not overwhelming. It is low pitch.
It really is just for 2 people, it doesn’t put out a high volume.

I received the first one as a Christmas gift and months later, it started making a really loud screeching sound and would no longer make ice. I bought another one and the new one did the same thing even sooner than last time. I am an ice-chewer so when I had a cup of ice, there were pieces of white plastic in the ice cubes that caused me to choke and leave residue on my teeth. I would recommend going with something that has a higher value that lasts longer. I thought initially the first malfunction was due to cleaning, but I changed the way I clean it… following instructions exactly and here we are. Initially, I loved the size and texture of the ice, but can absolutely do without the plastic and other issues.
