The ice maker doesn’t take up too much room but boy does it put out some ice. Without a doubt this is one of my favorite things I bought off of Icemaker.us.com over the past couple of years and I would highly recommend it. Cleaning it is very easily done and it isn’t too loud but definitely can hear it when nothing else’s making sounds around it.

Will. Not.. stay.. clean. My roommate called this our “Best Purchase Ever” and we buy a lot of stuff on Icemaker.us.com, so that’s saying something! It’s easy to use, just the right size and keeps a family of 4 supplies with cute little ice cubes on the hot summer days. No more messing with a fridge ice maker that’s always broken or ice cube trays that are a pain in the ass. Minor quibbles… sometimes the ice gets stuck high up on the basket and it thinks it’s “full” when it’s not really but you just have to knock it down and it goes right on with its business. Also, not the easiest to clean (someone dropped some gravy in ours recently and we had to clean the whole thing out) so we’ve marked ours “clean hands only!” But those are minor complaints. In general, we love it and use it daily. We got it on Prime Day so it was a decent price. Our housekeeper is jealous and planning to order one for herself.

It took me a while to like this. Now, I like it.
My complaint at first was that the ice cubes seemed barely below freezing so they melted too fast. The machine is insulated but not cooled. The ice melts back into the water reservoir over time. There is no scoop holder. Ladt, I was worried about cleaning it or getting build-up that could give the ice a bad flavor.
What I learned is that I don’t need to clean it. It is self cleaning. I just keep my hands clean and I don’t ever put anything but clean water into the reservoir.
The ice cubes on top are coldest. When I scoop those, they hold up all day in my thermos. When I make shakes, the ice cubes crush better, not chunky, versus ice from my fridge ice maker. This is the best use of this machine. I am trying to stay healthy, and this is a big part of making my breakfast better. I have a BlendJet, and there are unlimited free recipes for smoothies on the internet.

Wanted to try a bullit icemaker without paying a fortune. Found this, bought it, tried it and now love it! It arrived, I followed the directions, filled the water tank and let it go. When the ice bin was full, I emptied the made ice into a bin in my freezer. By the end of that first day, my freezer bin was full. Now i just turn it on to replenish my freezer bin as needed. This ice structure has more surface area so it chills drinks faster. While I do not recommend chewing ice, the culprits in my house enjoy this ice. I was not bothered by the making noise, actually quieter than my full fridge’s icemaker. Footprint on counter is smaller than my coffeemaker. Great price, I added the extended warranty, so no worries! I recommend this icemaker for those who want fun ice without the high price!
