As far as set up, there isn’t much to say. I unboxed it and it was ready to go. You just need to add water. It was churning out ice in no time.
The ice it makes is soft and chewable. Very much perfect if you’re making drinks.
One special warning is to make sure you don’t store it on its side. This includes when it arrives from shipping. If it goes on its side you need to stand it up and wait two hours before plugging it in.

I ordered the WIE Nugget Ice Maker on February 19, 2025, and today is March 9, 2025—not even two weeks later, and it has already stopped making ice! There’s no reason for it to fail; the water is fine, it’s been used properly, and there were no warning signs—just no more ice. For a machine at this price, I expected way better quality and durability. Now, I’m stuck with a useless appliance and the hassle of dealing with returns or warranty claims. Very disappointed! And I had such high expectations, and really looked forward to this machine, as an avid ice eater.

Today is March 11, and it has started working again. I shut it off for 2 days, then turned it back on. It took about an hour, but it started producing ice again. It doesnt taste funny or anything, theres no mold or signs of malfuctioning. I am not sure what happened or why it stopped then started again. Nothing in the manual states that.

This ice maker makes hospital ice!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!! I am screaming in glee because if you know, you know! That hospital ice is the absolute best! Cold and refreshing, small and crunchy. Yes!!!! This icemaker is also narrow and space conserving. Simply unpack, slide out the ice tray, fill to the max line with filtered or purified water, slide the tray back in, plug the machine in, and press the on button. I had soooo much ICE in just an hour of turning it on. This is the absolute BEST ice machine I’ve ever had. I was able to comfort our pregnant mothers by offering them some hospital grade ice. The price may seem steep… but it definitely is a wonderful investment for the type of ice this is.

Ice machine is combact but great for parties or summer everyday. After cleaning it with a little vinger and running two sets of cubes though it worked like a charm. The cubes are small and perfect for cocktails or kids. Good quality, sturdy and durable product.

This ice maker is great for smaller places. However, it doesn’t keep the ice cold, it just makes ice, so be mindful of that. I usually just turn it on when I get home from work so I have ice for dinner and then turn it off before bed since the whole point of buying an icemaker was to not take up room in my freezer. The plug cord was just long enough to feed behind my fridge. The ice does start to come out pretty quickly (manual says 6 minutes) but it’ll take longer for there to be enough to do anything with, maybe 30 minutes or so? I’m not entirely sure it’s worth the price thought, just because it’s really only good for 1-2 people and it’s on the expensive side.
