   I originally purchased this four months ago, and during that time it produced ice on an incredibly high output basis. I was impressed with the amount of ice produced and had variability and flexibility to make massive amounts with thin or larger cube. . Then suddenly an “ error message” displayed on screen that I couldn’t figure out from the manual. So I went online to Sozt and in less than 24 hours I had an answer to go through a checklist from Lina (yes a real person emailing me!). For three days there was constant communication with the company. We finally got it figured out as to what is wrong and a replacement unit is on its way.

   Purchases are often forgotten once the product leaves the loading dock. In this case, the company stood behind its product, and made sure that I was happy in resolving the product issues. In short they took care of their patrons. In this day and age it’s not so much the issue of having problems, but the assurance that when they occur (and they will occur) that you have somebody standing behind the product. I can’t say enough about this company and its integrity. BRAVO!
   8 Months Later
   After the first machine failed from an electronic glitch in the circuit board, I immediately heard from the company and it has now been replaced and is running like a “scalded dog” after the first machine failed from an electronic glitch in the circuit board. The unit literally produces so much ice that I flip the ice tray slide down so that I can periodically catch up with all of its production.
   I have to mention how great the company has been to work with in that their response and promptness has been absolutely stellar.
   Pump Maintenance Clarification
   In the owners manual it talks about cleaning the water return pump. It states that this should be done every week, which I think is a little bit excessive, but should you decide to do that It’s very confusing. The following instructions would be my suggestion:
   At the 5 o’clock position off of the ice tray will you find a pump behind the water return tray. Disconnect the poly tube on the right side to gain access to the pump. Then gently pry the ice tray slide off beneath the metal cube mold. There are two screws to remove the pump that you can feel with your fingers better than you can see. Remove these entirely and then the pump is then free to be pulled forward. Further freedom can be gained by removing the electrical and water line clip in the back of the unit. Next you must remove the cover on the bottom of the pump. This is where it gets a little difficult. There is a small little tab on the midsection of the screen beneath the pump, outflow and nozzle. In order for the screen and pump body cover to slide away from the motor housing. This tab needs to clear the screen cover. The easiest way is to take a thin, small screwdriver and gently pry up on the screen portion until you see that tab clear. then a second screwdriver can be inserted on the upper part of the cover to slide it off. Then exposes the pump impeller where you can do whatever cleaning is necessary. Reinstall it, simply a matter of sliding the cover into the engagement slot and clicking it into place.
