Let set for over 24 hours to allow fluids to settle before plugging in. Added water and it kept showing add water. Was able to force water in the out tube for the internal tank. It then began to work and has worked with no issue. Give 3 stars because it had to be primmed and that took some internet searching to figure out.

This is a product that needs to be delivered carefully. Throwing it on a doorstep tends not to be good policy. Opened the packaging and left to 24 hours as per instructions and set it up then for a first run. The first ice cubes were small but steadily grew till the end of the first water added. Placed each group in freezer with other cubes and rattled all together each time more were added to stop them clumping. In drinks they last longer than square ice cubes so for now all is well. Will update after a month of running to ensure the product lasts.
Product now runs for half a day at a time to keep the ice bucked topped up. So simple and cubes last longer in drinks because of shape.
UPDATE: this product is worth its weight in gold. Used every other day to top up ice containers. takes about 4 hours at a time – would recommend

Never worked at all. It never made one single ice cube. It smelled like it was burning while it was running and we were nervous about a fire hazard. I started a return, only to see that I had to pay for the shipping from this company to return the ice maker (that costs hundreds of dollars) that never even worked. I would not recommend this product or company at all from my personal experience.
