Stainless steel protection coating is supposed to peel right off. However, the manufacturer left the coating on when they press bent the panels. Once the unit was put together, the coating wraps around the panel and prevents you from peeling off the coating completely. What you get are jagged edges of left over coating.
I was forced to take the thing apart to get all of the coating off. To add to my frustration, some of the screws were stripped and took forever to get out.
