I bought this on August 31, 2023 and it has died. It makes this horrible screeching noise and it won’t push up the ice to make more. We used it almost everyday and now it’s dead 5/11/2024.

This thing makes great ice, and a whole lot in just a day. Replenishes quickly and I haven’t noticed the sound being unreasonably loud like many reviews have said. HOWEVER, in less than a month of usage the entire inside is growing slimy mildew. Which, to be fair, isn’t unreasonable but there’s so many tiny crevices, especially in the top/back when you remove the lid, that it takes upwards of an hour or more to clean. It has a cleaning cycle but that just cycles the water, it doesn’t do anything actual cleaning. I run vinegar water through it once then scrub the water reservoir and then try to clean the top where the water goes into the actual ice maker. Some places I can use a dish scrubby but other places require a tooth brush and then several I have to use a cotton swab or straw brush to scrub clean and even then I can’t get the goo out of all the nooks and crannies. After scrubbing I pour out the vinegar water and rinse the inside then run at least 2 more clean water cycles changing the water each time until the water runs clean without any “floaties”. Again, nice ice maker and it does as it says. But 5 months in and I’m sick of cleaning this thing.

This ice maker was great to start out but after only 9 months the mechanism that turns to push the ice out started to make a horrendous noise and now it won’t even turn. I tried a self clean cycle but I was afraid the ice maker would start on fire if I didn’t unplug it. Wish it would have lasted longer…

UPDATE: This ice maker was working like a charm up until today. Something major went wrong. I put the water in and powered it on to start the process. Water started leaking from somewhere within the device. I would love some kind of warranty coverage on this. I bought this thing is July.
Old Review: This is awesome! We got it for our rv and we absolutely loved it! It was quick and made a lot of ice for our family of 6. If it ran out, you shortly had a whole other batch of ice ready to go. I guess the only bad thing is it’s very loud. We kept it outside while we were traveling so it wasn’t an issue for us. It does get dirty quickly (even being inside) so be ready to clean it out often.

UPDATE: Like many other reviewers, after I left my review the seller reached out. They provided a couple of things to check, which did not pan out. They immediately shipped me a brand new maker which arrived within a couple of days. This one is a little different physically (the ice comes out in the center of the maker vs the right). The biggest difference is it’s noticeably quieter than the outgoing one. Hopefully it lasts because this is a great ice maker. It’s incredibly rare to have a manufacturer care enough to send you a whole new unit as a replacement months after purchase, so consider me impressed with that alone!
As with many of the others on here mine lasted around 7 months. I’ve tried to keep it clean and avoid running it when it’s low on water. I can fill it and it will make ice for around an hour, then the add water light comes on (even when full to the fill line) and it stops cooling or making ice. Any ice in the basket at that time melts.
When it worked it was great. It made perfect nugget ice fast.

I love this icemaker. It was great. It made ice very quickly and always function very well. Today, after only nine months, it stopped working. I did a cleaning cycle on it wiped it all down and it still won’t work. It pulls water up into the area that it first goes into, but it won’t push it into the icemaker part anymore.
