I was a little hesitant on buying this icemaker. I had always had a bullet icemaker and was worried that this sonic ice would melt too fast. Boy was I wrong. I am so happy I bought this icemaker. The ice taste good and lasts all day in my thermal cup. Only down side is that it is louder than the other icemakers I have bought in the past. I can over look the noise because how fast it can make ice is amazing. Very happy with my purchase and am thinking about buying one for my daughter and her family. She is always coming over to my home to fill her huge thermal cup with ice. Her icemaker cant keep up with the families need for ice.

Will get really noisy if the water level drops giving an audible on it is about to run dry. We use distilled water to help keep it clean. And no, not really like cube ice, more like chunk, but that is nit picking. It’s ice for crying out loud.

This unit makes good nugget ice and works quickly, and I appreciate the fact that there are two different ways to fill it. The first unit I ordered started making a loud noise while operating (similar to many other reviews) and since I was just past the 30 day return window, I contacted Euhomy customer service to see about a warranty claim. They responded very quickly and asked for a video of the issue and provided some tips to correct the issue myself. Unfortunately, none of those tips worked, so they sent out a brand-new machine which is working fine (so far). They followed up about 3 weeks later to ask if the new machine was working properly. That’s what I call great customer service! I recommend this machine (and this company) if you like nugget ice.

*edit* 2 weeks in, and this machine is getting louder and louder. Love the size, and capacity. It makes enough ice to handle my family of 5. The design is sleek and fits on my counter under my cabinets with plenty room to spare. The water reservoir is easy to fill and maintain. My main complaint, and reason for removing a star is the noise level. This machine sounds like a 1980s refrigerator that’s been in the garage. If it wasn’t for that, I would have given it 5* rating.

This is a disappointing review to have to write. We returned a previously purchased ice maker, an Outgava brand (but there are 50 more under different names), when it started making an ugly strained whining sound, and Icemaker.us.com insisted that a return was the best option. This one (different brand, same style of ice produced) had better reviews, including talking about excellent customer service. After plugging it up, it started making *the same noise* after about 48 hours. It got worse and worse. Initially, it would work for a day or so before the noise would start. Slowly it was down to just a few minutes after starting the machine before the horrible sound would start. I followed the “product support” links with Icemaker.us.com, and it led me to the Euhomy website, and a support request form. I filled it out nearly a week ago, and I’ve had no response. You see, I suspect this noise might be related to our water (well water, treated with a chlorinator and a water softener). I see other reviews that are all over the map about this issue. It is my guess that there have been enough returned that the seller has some idea as to why this happens. I’d *love* to keep this unit if we can get it to quit screaming like a banshee, but they don’t even respond to their web form. So this one is headed back to Icemaker.us.com before the return window runs out, but I’d really like to find a way to make it work. So for other considering buying one of these, we love the ice, and the removable reservoir (even with the awkward method for pulling it out), and the *normal* noise level was fine. It was this horrible sound that developed that ended our appreciation for it. We love the nugget ice, but primal screams are not going to work. See the attached video.

I love this lil nugget ice maker! It makes around 2 cups per hour. It will not keep the ice frozen cause it’s not a freezer so once it’s made the ice, you’ll have to store it. I put it in ziplock baggies and when I want ice, just take the bag and give it a good wack to break it up. It holds around half a gallon of water. Simple to use and a great purchase.
