This is a very nice looking small ice maker hence the extra star but why even market this as 35 dB?
It is noticeably loud. Like can’t have a conversation with someone while standing near it loud. Like Apple Watch shows 60+ dB loud. There is no time when this is 35 dB. It’s either sitting there filled with ice and making no sound or 60+ dB while trying to make ice. At no time is this 35 dB.
Another problem that does affect other ice makers is that the sensors to stop the ice from over filling are at the back of where the ice falls into the tray. They easily get tripped by a single cube of ice at the rear and you end up with a mostly empty ice tray.
The main reason though we’re returning it, is the ice tastes like poison. Running cleaning cycles did not help. How many hours of cleaning are going to make the internals taste less like poison?

I can remote control this ice maker via wifi or Bluetooth. Both myself and the dog like cold drinks in summer and this machine quietly produces! I can hear the I’ve drop from about 30 feet away. It’s still quiet. It’s got an auto shut off feature once the ice bin fills. Love this machine!
Mine does have a drain on the underside. Very handy!

So this is mostly my fault for not reading the product description more closely, but I didn’t realize the machine wouldn’t keep the ice cold. Every countertop ice maker I’ve ever seen does, so it just didn’t occur to me to check. So I don’t really see how this machine is useful for any situation other than a party and I probably won’t keep it because I wanted one for every day use.
But I still have to admit that the machine is as-described, looks good, and does make really nice ice. I was surprised that the first batch I made didn’t have a weird new-plastic smell or taste; I figured it would take a couple cycles to taste normal, but it didn’t.
