After the ice maker in my refrigerator broke, I started looking into alternatives. I was using ice cube trays, but they were inconsistent size-wise.
This machine makes perfect sized cubes. It takes roughly 7 to 9 minutes, depending on the size. The book mentions three sizes, S, M, or L, but I was only able to get S and L.
It was very easy to set up and get going, and easy to shut down and clean up when I was finished.
It’s a small, compact machine that fits easily on a counter top. It comes with a scoop to scoop out the cubes.

This ice maker is more compact than most other countertop units I’ve seen. The ice is not smooth or clear or long lasting. It is chewable, which is better in my opinion. My first ice maker made perfectly clear square cubes that lasted a long time. I hated those cubes because I enjoy chewing ice and those sharp hard pointed cubes were not pleasant. The bullet shape of these cubes and crumbly texture have no corners anywhere. They can be bit through easily.

The self cleaning feature interested me, but the manual says nothing about what it does, only how to start it manually. All it appears to do is move the cube pusher back so that you can manually wipe down the interior which would otherwise be inaccessible. It doesn’t appear to actually do any automatic cleaning.
