I purchased this ice maker with high hopes, expecting it to be a reliable addition to my kitchen. While it initially worked well, producing ice quickly and efficiently, the disappointment came after only eight months of use when it completely stopped functioning.
For the price, I expected much better longevity. I followed all care and maintenance instructions, ensuring it was cleaned regularly and used appropriately. Despite this, the machine began to show signs of wear within months, with louder-than-normal operation and inconsistent ice production before it finally quit altogether.
While it was convenient during the short time it worked, I cannot recommend this ice maker based on its poor durability and lack of value for the price. Look elsewhere for a more reliable option.

Many of my friends got ice makers for their homes, so I got mine for my RV. Absolutely the best thing. It makes about 7 lbs of ice in a few hours and I turn it off. When I open the 2nd gallon bag of ice I turn it on and fill up another. It is perfect. If I leave it on the counter, it will make a full basket. When it melts it recycles into the water tank and makes ice again, so you always have a full thing of ice if you leave it on. Makes a little noise nothing the TV or Pandora doesn’t cover hide. I am madly in love with it. I think those who got one that isn’t working or shocking them just got a defective unit Icemaker.us.com is great about exchanges. I think I got a great buy on this one.

Update: The seller has reached out to me finally with options to refund or replace. I am working with them and am very happy they finally responded. I changed my rating to a 4 since I did like the ice maker in general just not the it broke part and no one responded until I gave a 1 star review. :o)
This was a really good Ice Maker until 5 weeks in(we order it on April 21, 2024 and received it on April 22nd) and it started making this awful squealing noise. Shutting it off for a few minutes seemed to work for a couple of days but after that it was pretty consistent and it started having these tiny bits of something black appear in the ice that it did manage to spit out. They seem to be bits of plastic because something internal broke. I contacted the seller around 2 weeks ago and have not heard a word back at all so here I am leaving a poor review on Icemaker.us.com for the first time ever. I recommend you not purchase this unit as apparently they don’t care that you spend $180 on their product that doesn’t work for longer than 6ish weeks.

The machine is easy to operate and keep full of ice. The full basin of ice needs knocked down occasionally but a large cup of water makes quite a bit of ice. I tried to store it in the freezer but think it needs stirred for a bit to keep it from clumping into bigger blocks. I store it on a counter next to the sink so it’s easier to drain and fill but it can go anywhere a 2 story 4 slice toaster will fit. It does seem durable and works pretty quick at making a cup of ice.
