So far so good. I typically run it one day a week, and throw the ice into freezer bags, as we’re a small family. When I do need a lot of ice, it’s done well so far running over multiple days. When I’m not using it, I use the scoop to prop open the lid as we already had to deal with a mould issue. Keep it going or ventilated and you should be fine. BUT takes a lot longer to make ice than advertised. Putting fridge-cold water in to start helps.

This ice maker is the best. Little pricey but makes a lot of ice and makes it fast. I bog my ice and put in the deep freeze. This machine can fill a freezer bag with ice in about 1.5 hr. nice unit!!

I love ice and absolutely love this ice maker. I hated making ice cubes (always spilling water from the trays). I am so glad I bought this. The ice bullets do have a hole in the middle so they melt faster than a standard ice cube, but I prefer the bullets (better for munching on). I just use more ice in my glass on a hot day.
