Machine is loud but makes good ice for about a week. Machine died. I don’t like the fact that each time you send a message to the seller you have to wait two days to get a reply. So I had a broken Machine and took me several weeks to get a refund. First I had to ask for a return label, wait 2 days, then told the label would be sent, wait 2 more days, then told to cut the cord and send pictures of unit manufacturers label and cut cord, then wait 2 more days, then finally got my refund issued back to my card.

It made great ice from the get go, it did however break after about 8 months of use. I’m still giving it a stellar rating because the customer service was a dream to work with!

Yes, it’s soft crunchy nugget ice and it makes it quick.
But it’s loud, very loud. Mine’s in a pantry with door closed and it’s still obnoxiously loud. Way way louder than any dishwasher I’ve heard in the last 30 years. Louder than a washing machine.
But we suffered it.. For about 4 months when it stopped working. It seems the refrigerant compressor went out. The pump works to cycle the water still but after a minute of that the lights start blinking. There’s no explanation in the manual for this error code. Other newair models say it means the ice full sensor is obstructed but I can rule that out in this case.
So, you know. If you decide to take a chance with the noise at least you can rest assured you only have to put up with it for a couple months.

had a turbo, squealing noise contacted customer service. They don’t accept any form video but they won one. Finally stop squealing when it stop making ices. I’ve been trying for months. Only way to get video up to their format is here . So here so here’s the video of it failing so Customerservice can see it.

I love this machine. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Easy to fill. If I had one complaint it would be that it makes ice, but it doesn’t keep it. Wish it would make it and keep it frozen.

Don’t waste your money. Worked great for 13 days. Button won’t push back out to make ice. 28 emails later with support and no go. They won’t replace or refund because I’d didn’t cut the cord correctly before my hubs took it to the dump. I sent in all the photos and videos that I thought would suffice. Charles Trapp from customer services wouldn’t reply half the time for days. My daughter so loved her little ice and now we’re out $200 and the machine! Thanks for nothing Newair..
Beware buyers! Machine will break and stop working quick! We kept our clean and in 1 spot. No traveling or anything with it.
