This is an ice maker that makes semi hard nugget ice which is perfect for chewing in cold drinks. This machine is pretty fast, and it doesn’t take long to get a batch of ice. This has a self cleaning mode, and that takes around 15 or 20 minutes to cycle through. The ice does NOT stay cold in the machine, and must be used immediately, or stored in the freezer. If you store it in the freezer, put it in a thick plastic bag like an empty bag that ice came in from a gas station or convenience store, and drain the water out as much as possible before putting it in the freezer. This will solidify the nuggets together, but by dropping the frozen bag of nuggets on the counter or floor they will break apart, and can then be put back in the freezer without them freezing together again. This can make up to 26lbs of ice a day according to the listing, and I beleive it. The beep sound is very annoying, and if I had a complaint that would be it. Overall a good ice maker, and worth the cost.

This is a great little ice maker. I was surprised at how fast it produces ice nuggets.
Setup is really straightforward, just clean it up thoroughly for first time use, add water to the level line and turn it ON .. You’ll get ice nuggets before you know it!
So far this item has been working great for me and has been reliable. One thing to note when you are putting it away, don’t forget to drain it to prevent mold from forming .. for this there are two drain plugs at the bottom of the unit. Make sure you open both drain plugs and drain the unit completely. That simple!
I would definitely recommend this, great little ice maker that is simple to use and produces ice every time!

My bullet icemaker died after a year and a half. I tried to research as much as possible because I don’t want to pay for another one in less than 2 years. This one seemed to have the best ratings for the price point. I like how long the ice lasts in my cups, the nuggets are perfect, and this is getting me to drink more water. My only gripe is that it is loud when it is working, and sounds like it is on its last legs.

26 pounds of ice a day seems like a lot but in actuality it really isn’t. That’s the main thing that you need to understand prior to making this purchase. This translates to a bit over a pound of ice every hour. This is of course if you run it for 24 hours in a day, which is ridiculous.
So if you’re purchasing this item just to get a little bit of ice here and there and not to fill buckets of ice for events or parties then it’s an okay purchase. But it truly isn’t great for bulk ice.
Outside of that it works well and it gets the job done. I’ve only made about 5 lb of ice with it and I haven’t had any problems yet.

It’s not fast, so this isn’t for parties. Rather, use it every few days to fill up a few gallon bags worth for storage. Or just give it a home on the counter if you have space to do so (footprint is small, so this is viable for larger kitchens).
Easy to clean, easy to store, easy to move (this is critical if you may be gifting it to someone who’s not as spry and strong as they once were).
