I’ve been looking at these countertop ice makers for some time. All the less expensive (under $100) brands I’ve found make the harder bullet-shaped ice cubes. After reading so many reviews, I decided to try this one. It makes PERFECT little soft pellets-exactly what I was looking for. The ice is like what you get at Sonic, etc. The unit runs very quietly. If the water is not chilled when you pour it in, you may have to wait about 10 min for ice to start dropping. While it doesn’t make a ton of ice in a hurry, if you’ll bag it and store in the freezer you should be able to plan to have plenty for your needs. A number of commenters said it made a lot of noise when first turned on, but I’m wondering if they failed to let it set on the counter as directed long enough to allow all the inside coolants to settle properly after shipping. This seems to be an important factor. I’ve had mine about a month and I’m very very happy with it so far.

I’ve always wanted to buy an ice maker for home parties! I’m thrilled that I finally made my purchase! This ice maker is heavy and sturdy, and easy to use. It’s quietly during the ice-making process, I think it’s due to its excellent compressor. Basically, all I need to do is pouring in filtered water, and it handles the rest. The only thing that didn’t meet my expectations was that I thought I can get a full bucket of ice within 15 minutes, but it actually is the time that I start to get the first ice. However, this hasn’t been a big issue for me, as it’s much faster than the hours my traditional fridge takes to make ice. Overall, I’m very satisfied!

We received the ice maker in a timely manner however, when we went to make ice after reading and following all the directions, it did not work. I then called customer service and after a short hold – was able to speak to a live person and they noted everything in an accurate manner. I then had to send a video for warranty purposes. Within a day, I received an email that a new one was being shipped. It even arrived before the holidays!!

It makes ice. The ice seems to drip a lot so when you put it in a freezer the ice chips make one big ice piece. We hit it with a rolling pin to break it apart. It is very noisy. It is easy to use.
