Worked perfectly for about a month. Then the ice bin starts filling up with water. Since then we have had constant problems. We have paid more to have this ice machine repair then we paid for the product itself. Now less than a year later it is useless and we have to purchase a new one.

We purchased our Hot Hope ice maker for our restaurant/bar in Chester, VA. It is perfect as it fits under the bar and is easily accessible and out of the way.
Unfortunately I asked someone to clean it who didn’t know what he was doing and he proceeded to break the overflow switch and possibly the fill valve.
Hot Hope service responded to my request in less than a day. They told me that they would get me the parts I needed for repair.
To get unquestioned service that quickly is unheard of.

The email address I was looking for was on the manual. It’s also listed on the Hothope site but took a while to track down. Seller was very responsive when I called. They had me send in video to make sure it wasn’t a larger issue. They sent a replacement filter and that solved the leaking problem. Then they followed up to make sure everything was satisfactory. I’m pleased with the ice maker and feel this was a worthy purchase.
Note to buyers-place a bucket or bowl under the filter BEFORE installing. It ruined the wood in my cabinet and that’s frustrating.
The seller replaced the defective item and followed up a few times to make sure we were good. Fantastic customer service that won’t leave you hanging.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
The filter leaks. I believe it’s the seal at the top. I called in for support but never received an email so I could follow up with the video to fix the problem. I need a replacement part and it’s been difficult to try and get one. If a replacement piece has been sent or troubleshooting as sufficient, then I will adjust my review.
