This ice maker works great, other than it needs to be cleaned every other day. It is like black particles from the gears are grinding off in the ice.

This machine lasted a year and 2 months. Now it makes loud whiny noises and leaks oil or something black into the water reservoir. I do not recommend this machine. If you purchase it buy the warranty as you will need it.

Only had this ice maker four months and it is already not working. Very disappointed. Had I not heard the loud noise it was making, I think it would have caught on fire. There were metal shavings all over the ice.

Runs fairly quiet. If ice melts, the ice maker just remakes it. I love the pebble (sonic) ice. It’s perfect for drinks. I just wish the ice maker was bigger.

Update after 4 months of use. Worked well to start. Much louder than previous countertop ice maker. After 4 months it isn’t working well and will need to be replaced. It has been thoroughly cleaned but runs constantly without producing very much ice. Waste of electricity now. Very disappointed that it didn’t last.
Generally a good purchase. The good: makes ice quickly, makes small ice nuggets.
The not so good: louder than previous countertop ice maker, tiny capacity for making/holding ice. It may make a decent amount if you spend time emptying it an storing the ice, otherwise you get enough ice for two maybe three tumblers before it’s empty.
