I bought an ice maker for our vacation trips. After 3 days of working it started telling us that it needed water and the ice was full. Neither was the case. We unplugged the unit and waiting a few minutes (more then once we tried this) Plugged it back in, and it said the same and would not come back on. So in my opinion, this machine is not worth any money at all to buy.

The machine is nice looking however loud when dispensing the ice into ice basket. Prior to emptying the ice it gives out a loud noise so loud my dog barks. The ice is not preserved well, it some what watery. It is probably suited best for outdoors except for the watery ice. Timeing of ice to be completed is average. I am sad. Hate the process of returning products.

The item was delivered quickly, but was damaged by a large dent on the back of the machine. It was packed in heavy styrafoam, so I am wondering if it was damaged at the factory before packaging. Also, the product instruction manual says to not turn item upside down due to possible damage being done to compressor unit. The box it was shipped in looked like it came straight from the factory, but did not state on the outside of the box to keep box right side up or any other shipping and handling warnings. I am hoping that the machine will work properly. The ice maker is quieter than my microwave. Will add an updated review once it has been running and in use for awhile.

I have had this item for less than 30 days. It worked well for a time but the machine quit working a day ago. I have tried getting a hold of someone for return or replace to no avail. Do not buy this item if you have to get reliable service latter. I have bought a lot of items on Icemaker.us.com but this is the first time that they will not do a return policy. Patrick Rivard.

When I first got this unit out of the packaging and opened up the lid, I found a hair inside the basin where the water goes – kind of gross. I should have returned the unit right then and there, but decided to clean it using the water and vinegar solution as described in the instruction manual. After putting in the water I started the unit. Everything was fine for about 3 minutes, and then I began hearing a loud, clanking and grinding noise coming from inside the unit. I can only assume there was something wrong with the compressor or other internal component. This persisted for an hour while the unit was making ice. At that point I decided I had enough and returned it.

So far so good. Would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t so heavy. Cranks out the ice. It is smaller than some of the others but produces the same ice in the same amount of time. Its about the size of a bread machine. We recentlty moved to a place without an ice machine, and this was the answer. Our new place is smaller, so I just store it off the counter and bring it out for events. I also just make a bunch of bags of ice and store them and its great. Will definitely be using this for Super Bowl party and the holidays.
