Ice maker works as promised. However the unit arrived extremely dusty, deeply scratched, and broken in many places. One of the breaks in the plastic was so prominent that we worried it wouldn’t function properly. We were so desperate to finally have ice again that we went ahead and installed it and it is working. Since there was no mention on the listing that this item was anything but new I don’t think it was appropriately listed.

Used this in a FGHC2331PFAA. Was pretty easy to remove the OEM unit and to install this one. One wiring harness and two screws. Fit easily and works great. Was worried it would be a big expense but this was really economical.

Easy job, only you need to transfer the back cover from the old one . Also you need manually to put the front white part inside the basket to automatically stop went is full of ice .

I think heater element must have failed in old ice maker as it was constantly getting stuck and very noisy. The only difference I can see between the original and this one is the original had a three way switch; off,on, and manual advance. This has only off and on. So installed it, turned it to on and Presto, ice happens with no noise other than the cubes falling in tray.

Was very easy to instal. Did take about a day or two to begin making ice. The sensor that tells it that the ice bucket is full and needs to stop does not work so we have to turn it off for a little every so often. But we had no ice at all before so not the worst thing. Just over fills to the brim. Over all works well
Update: ice make stopped making ice after about 4-5 months and now we are back to square one….

Works great, was super easy to install. Old one made ice but wouldn’t drop ice to storage bin. The heater stopped working. Took only a couple minutes to install. Loosen 2 screws with 1/4 nut driver lift out of place unplug wires and reverse with new one. Started dropping ice in 1 hr.
