   I give the product a one star because the metal rod used to control the ice crushing mechanism was bent in two places. As a result, it did not fit correctly into the freeze because the rod did not slide into the area designed for it. After comparing and contrasting the old and new piece it was very apparent where it was bent.
   I was able to fix it by removing the rod from the bin, placing it in a vice and carefully bending it back to match the old rod which I had not removed from the old bin and used as a reference.
   It was an easy process and took less than an hour. After testing it functions properly.
   The reason I am giving it a one star is that quality control should have caught the defect.
   Would I buy from the vender again, I would. It got here to me four days ahead of schedule. It is GE part and so far looks well-built other than the above stated problem.
