Our fancy refrigerator makes lots of ice when it’s cooler outside but fails miserably during the scorching California weather. A friend suggested getting a tabletop icemaker like she used in her camper. After hours of research, I decided on this model and I am happy with my selection!
The unit is quiet and tucks nicely into a corner on my counter. It makes ice very quickly and automatically shuts off when the tray is full or the water level is too low. I like to place the full basket of ice into a flat bottom bowl and then transfer the ice into a storage bag when I get the next full basket. This allows the ice to harden and I can tap the bowl to separate any pieces before pouring the ice into the storage container.

I’m a kitchen gadget type of person, so I’ve come to admit…. I’ll never have enough counter room! This icemaker fits nicely on my counter top and is easy to use.
I must emphasize it makes only 9 bullet cubes at a time. So depending on the amount of ice needed, prepare ice ahead of need. Room temp, usage, size of cubes are all factors in real time as to how long it takes to make the ice. Used for a couple of weeks now and seems as though the more I use the machine the faster it makes ice now. At first purchase, I questioned its performance. Also selecting large cubes = thicker, longer lasting cubes. Small cubes makes thin cubes which melt faster. Usually, l just make ice up when I have extra time in the kitchen.Then I freeze it in freezer bags for future use. I hate ice trays but the ready made bags provide the amount of ice needed any time.

Easy to use, blah, blah, blah. It stopped working (said add water when water was in it) after three months. Too long to be under warranty. And if you can return it, you lose money bc Icemaker.us.com charges you to ship it back. So it doesn’t work, I have to drive to UPS to return it, and am getting $15 less than what I paid for it.

Size is smaller than my air fryer or instant pot. It’s quieter than my refrigerator which moos like a cow every couple of hours (not sure what that’s about). So far no leaks. Ice is clear ice which means no contamination from the machine. And y’all, it’s doing what it needs to do, which is make ice for my sweet tea. I’ve read reviews that say it stopped working or became noisy within a few months so I’ll keep my eyes peeled and ears open for any flaws and inform y’all to that if/when it happens. But for now I’m gonna go enjoy my sweet tea and some chile rellanos. Also the melting ice should you not get to it in time drains right back into the fill tank.

I was tired of using treys for our ice and wanted a more self sufficient solution. I liked the price range, reviews, and shape of the ice cubes. The first one received didn’t work at all. I chatted with customer service and they quickly sent a replacement. The second one works and I’ve had it for a couple months now. It fits nicely on my counter without taking up too much space. It’s a little noisy but not distracting. The shape of the ice is nice because it fits in my SodeStream bottles (narrow neck). It’s easy to set up and use.
However, the ice comes out wet. The instructions say to put in the freezer right away to avoid melting. I have taken them straight from being dispensed and put in the freezer, but no matter what they come out wet and eventually created giant blocks of ice.
I also only use filtered water. But I noticed recently it’s leaving brown marks where the water filters back into the reservoir. Not sure where that’s coming from.

I only have this 4 stars because I’m just not sure it will fit my needs and not because it isn’t good quality. The setup was super easy to understand and get going. Like it says I had my first batch of ice in just a few minutes and it just kept coming. The water reservoir makes 2 or 3 baskets before having to refill. Really the only negative is the fact that the ice basket area is not refrigerated and the ice starts to melt before the basket is full, but I knew this before purchasing. If you’re just needing ice for 3 or 4 drinks this will do it. It does require attention though to keep the ice cold and the reservoir filled. It’s quiet enough and I feel it’s very good quality. Easy to clean, fast, and I was well pleased with the value for what I paid.
