Our refrigerator doesn’t make much ice and runs out all the time. We hoped this would be the answer and it is! It makes small or large cubes and just enough to supplement when we need it. It takes so little time to make ice that we can turn it on when we see the fridge is getting low and in 30 minutes we have ice. We found a nice corner in he laundry room for it and put it on a swivel tray because you have to have access to the back of the unit to drain it unless you install some kind of drain hose. The cubes come out in a block so you have to break them up but that’s not really a big deal. I am using large jugs of bottled water but a large a large container that fits on the top would be handy if you plan on using it frequently.

This ice maker is big. You’re going to need to have a separate table for it, it takes up too much space on the counter. Since it holds so much water and you can even put a big bottle of water on it, that makes up for it. The cubes in this ice cube maker is very different from the hollow cylindrical ones my little countertop one makes. They’re clear actual ice cubes, very nice. If you have a big family or have a lot of parties at your house, you can certainly make use out of one this big.

I just got this ice maker unboxed, cleaned/prepped to make ice and going after waiting almost two months for it to arrive. It is nice looking and appears well made. It came with a small scoop that doesn’t have any handle really. It kind of looks like a toy to me, and it doesn’t seem very functional. Although, I don’t like the scoop I do like the ice maker. As mentioned, it looks nice and is easy enough to operate even though the instructions are a little hard to understand in some sections. It makes ice quickly but mine came out in a thick sheet or bar which was somewhat disappointing. I’ve only made two batches using the large cubes setting, so I changed the setting to small cubes to see if they come out better. I would consider giving this five stars if I can get this machine to put out cubes instead of bars. But for now I’m giving it four stars because I really don’t want to have to break my ice into cubes manually. Overall, this is a nice ice maker for the price and most people don’t seem to have an issue with their machine making bars, I don’t min giving this ice maker my recommendation.

This ice maker makes great ice. As you can see from the photos, the ice is crystal clear and so much better than what our refrigerator makes. When I pour a soda over ice from the fridge, it foams a lot and the ice is not clear, but this ice is clear and it doesn’t foam up with a soda. I can’t see much if any difference between the large and small cubes. The first photo is large ice and the second photo is small.
I should mention that the first unit I received was DOA, and I had to send it back. But another unit was sent out quickly and it works perfect.
