   My old ice maker was a champ. Sorry to see the old one go, but after 6 years of making ice (it lived for it!),, it started to have issues with the ice making portion. Can’t get that part anywhere.. so what the heck–
   Got a new one today via Icemaker.us.com (one day delivery).
   Seems the newer model has a better door closer and it is quieter. Made the first batch in about an hour.
   Hope to get another 6 years of ice.
   The packaging was way better than the one I bought 6 years ago.. no issues at all.

   We had the plumber install the new water line and hooking this unit up was very easy. The unit works well and makes a lot of ice. Compared to the higher end U-line icemakers this is half the cost and works just as well. I would buy it again.

   Great price, however it is very noisy as some of the reviews of stated. I have contacted customer support to see if there’s anything they can do about that, guess that will be the determining factor. Also it is not as advertised, the latch which is shown on the Icemaker.us.com page is not on the ice maker that I received. Don’t know if that is a mistake, or if maybe I received an older model.

   I have my Whynter ice maker. It is installed on a boat, I had some issues, on my part, and needed their advice and help. They were fantastic and went above and beyond to answer and help me.. All the customer support folks were terrific but Angel was the kind of person you wish you were able to talk to anytime you has an issue with anything. I’m very pleased and the ice maker is working great.

   First unit shipped was damaged. Replaced in 2 days with no hassle. Second unit ran great for about six months and the compressor went out. Worked with Jose in support and he got a new unit out in a short time. No hassle or run around. Hoping 3rd time is a charm. Things break, I’m glad they stood behind their product.

   I was worried about the reviews that complained about the noise level, but I went ahead with this unit anyway. I’m very happy with my decision; this unit is MUCH quieter than the U-Line machine it replaced. It’s also nicer to look at and makes ice a whole lot faster.

   Finally an ice maker I love! I have tried several and I love the shape of cube and the fact that I don’t need a drain and to continuously replace melting ice. I hope it lasts! The only thing I would change (and I would pay more for actually) as if the unit was taller and held more ice… That would make this a perfect icemaker!

   I should have known by the mixed reviews that I would have problems with this ice maker. It worked great for first couple of months. Then it’s been one thing after another since it’s out of warranty. Now it just won’t make ice anymore. I feel I wasted my money and now have to find another one.
