Water shouldn’t be running over the motor and leaking out of the vents in the back. It no longer works. It is such a headache to clean too. The instructions say to clean it by running bleach through it DAILY! I was always afraid of bleach being in my ice so I’d run several cycles of water after bleaching. I felt like all I was doing was constantly cleaning this ice maker and mold would still form in the inner lines and come out in chunks! I loved the ice but hated the maintenance that didn’t properly clean it anyway. Then today it decided to start spilling all the water out the vent in the back.

Had machine for 5 months, only use reverse osmosis water in it, woke up this morning and its output has black chunks thats smooth on one side, seems like a metal. not sure I can trust this design of this ice machine anymore if such a thing can happen

I purchased this Nugget Ice Maker in April 2024 by November 2024 it started making a loud noise, I cleaned it thoroughly then it stopped making ice. Not a worthy ice maker for the $$

I used the excuse of having purchased an iced tea brewer to get this. Truth be told it’s more of a snack station, at least for the time being. Everyone snags a few pieces to crunch on when they walk by it.
It’s kinda noisy. It didn’t seem to take long to produce a cupful of ice. Definitely the “good ice”. Granddaughter was always asking for shaved or blended ice so she positively loves this. Easy to access the drain port (it’s in the front corner, so I just slide the unit to where that corner is overhanging and put a container under it).
As an aside, the box says to let it sit upright for 2 hours before plugging in to let the refrigerant settle, manual says 1 hour.

My wife is in love with this ice maker. I wanted 2 things out of the ice maker, that it make ice fast enough to keep up with how much water she needs to hydrate and that it was quiet. It has a low buzz sound but it’s basically the same amount of noise that comes from my fish tank, so it’s not too bothersome. It makes plenty of ice and it seems to stay cold enough in the machine to keep until it is used. We had some in the bin overnight and it was fine. One of the few machines that make the nugget ice. Great product and would recommend.

Do not waste your money! This ice maker stopped working within 2 months of purchase. I bought it to help with my fluid intake since I’m a heart patient and now I’m out money and product. The worst purchase I have made!
