Was great for the first 6 days; when I turned it on on the morning of the 7th day, it would no longer make ice. Did all the troubleshooting (cleaning mode still worked, turning on/off/unplugging/let it sit in all modes et all) but after hours of restarting, still no ice

I was in love with this machine. I’ve had it for 1 month exactly. It functioned well and produced ice quickly and thought it was beautiful and a great value. Until…This morning as I went to start ice, I noticed a greasy black film in the ice tray. I’ve used this machine every day for the last 30 days. I’ve run the clean cycle. I only use Distilled water as I am super picky about my ice. There’s no reason there should be anything black coming out of this machine.
I’ve contacted customer service to see why this has happened. I will update this review upon receiving a solution. I’m so bummed because I’ve been using this daily and will be lost without my nugget ice.
